Mon Cheval training Center offers lessons from beginner to advanced.
30 minute lessons with Mindy Price or Abi Engel are $55.00.
30 minute lessons with AnnMarie, Melisha, or Angela are $45.00.
Use of a schooling horse/pony is $5.00
Mindy Price is a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist with over 30 years’ experience riding, training, showing, and teaching at all levels. Mindy is well-known for her ability to develop dressage horses, from inexperienced youngsters to award-winning upper level horses.
Lessons with Mindy are based on classical dressage, a discipline that builds the horse and rider’s athletic potential and develops the rider/horse partnership. Mindy takes an individual approach to each rider/horse pair, tailoring lesson content to address the unique needs of both human and horse.
Mindy’s students range in age from 7 to over 70. Some are serious and successful show competitors, and others just want to have fun developing a deep partnership with their horse.
Abigail Engel brings with her 20 years of riding experience, 9 of which have been spent training professionally. Abi started her career in the hunter/jumper world but in the last 12 years has specialized in dressage, primarily training under Kathy Mueller. Abi also has experience in other disciplines such as natural horsemanship and driving. Abi focuses on creating harmony and confidence between horse and rider specializing in starting young horses and teaching lessons to riders at beginner and intermediate experience levels.
AnnMarie Otto, our Adult and Youth Camp Director, has been riding horse for 35+ years. She rides in Classic Dressage, Western Dressage and Working Equitation. AnnMarie is a member of the Goodhue County Sherriff Mounted Posse. AnnMarie enjoys getting out and having fun with horses from cattle drives, swimming on horseback, trail riding, parades, patrolling, and obstacles. AnnMarie teaches riding and horsemanship to the beginner riders, focusing on education and making learning relaxing and fun!
Melisha West, has 38 years of experience with over 20yrs focused on dressage and equitation. Teaching all levels of rider from beginner to intermediate and up. Strong emphasis on core, balance and using your seat to communicate with your horse. The idea is to build on each individuals strengths and have fun doing it!
